Director of Social Services
As a Director of Social Services you will be responsible that admissions, transfers and discharge processes are done in compliance with regulations, policies and procedures.
Additional responsibilities of the Director of Social Services include:
- Speaking at community functions and conducting tours and educational sessions.
- Providing and arranging social services for resident/family members as appropriate.
- Educating families and residents regarding placement, care and rights.
- Teaching staff on issues related to resident care, rights and behavior.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Director of Social Services
To qualify for the Director of Social Services, you must have effective communication skills and be able to work with individuals of all ages.
Additional requirements of the Director of Social Services include:
- Licensure or certification as a social worker in the state where the center is located if required by State Social Work licensing board.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a human services field including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize with good interpersonal skills.
- Basic Computer Skills.
