Custodian - Facilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
Responsible for a wide variety of cleaning and general custodial services within County facilities as directed.
Empties trash and removes to outside trash containers.
Changes lining in trash containers as needed.
Dusts and cleans desks, chairs, cabinets, telephones, and other furniture/equipment on a regular schedule as directed.
Cleans window sills and dust mops tile floors on a regular basis as directed.
Vacuums carpets on a daily basis and spot clean carpets as needed.
Wet mops tile floors as needed.
Thoroughly cleans window blinds within offices approximately once every month.
Within restrooms, performs the following duties on a daily basis:
empty trash, sweep floor, clean wash basins, clean toilet facilities, clean walls on bathroom stalls, clean mirrors and wet mop the floor.
As needed, replaces soap and paper product supplies in restrooms and sanitizes restroom floor.
On staircases, sweeps and wet mops stairs on a regular basis as directed.
Cleans vending machines, cabinets, doors, bulletin boards, frames and glass cases as needed.
Cleans inside of windows in facilities as needed.
Monitors level of supplies available and informs supervisor when new supplies are required.
Employee must perform all duties with minimal supervision.
May be required to work irregular hours, overtime, evenings or weekends.

MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Experience:
Three months previous custodial/janitorial experience preferred.
Certification, Skills and Licenses:
Must demonstrate literacy sufficient to read and comprehend labels and instructions.
Must have valid New Mexico driver's license if required to operate County vehicles.
